FCS' Cumulative Sales Hit a New High due to the Multi-Component Technology Breakthrough
With the development in plastic technology, multi-component injection molding technology is gaining wider popularity. Under the boom of environmental protection, energy saving, and the new energy market, FCS is well-known in the industry for its exclusive two-component injection molding machines.
FCS Group (6603) is a leader in the equipment for the plastic and rubber industries, whose multi-component injection molding machines continued to sell well in 2023, with an annual turnover exceeding USD 73 million, annual sales exceeding 545 machines, and the clamping force reaching 270,000 tons.
The market scale for alternative fuel vehicles in China keeps growing. As a result, the main customers of FCS, including Tesla, BYD, Stanley, Yingli, TYC, SAIC Motor, and Guangzhou Automobile, had invested more to expand production, leading to the increasing sales of FCS two-component injection molding machines.
FCS has been highly recognized and trusted by customers in the auto part industry, sports equipment, consumer goods, and computer/communications/consumer products for many years. As a result, FCS's revenue from the automobile part industry accounts for an increasingly high percentage.
By the end of 2023, the cumulative sales volume of FCS medium and large multi-component injection molding machines for automotive industry has reached 1,003 machines, with a total tonnage of clamping force of more than 1,030,000 tons and an amount of USD 300 million.
For the past few years, FCS has made continuous improvements and breakthroughs in multi-component injection molding technology. In addition to serving as the standard setter in the multi-component plastic injection molding machine industry, FCS has developed HB-1900R large horizontal rotary table two-component injection molding machine. This machine has been recognized as the first product in the key field of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Zhejiang Province. Moreover, it won the 2024 Plastics Industry Ringier Technology Innovation Award for FCS newly launched Two-Platen X-type Multi-Component Injection Molding Machine (GW-2200R).
There are breakthroughs and innovations in the appearance of new energy vehicle products, and improvements in the two-component application of electronic and medical products. Larger and more precise multi-component injection molding machines are becoming a trend. Subsequently, the all-electric two-component machine and the ultra-large all-electric multi-component injection molding machine launched by FCS satisfy the needs of the market in due course. With their reliability, high yield, and high customization, these two types of machines have become the preferred choice for multi-component injection molding machines among customers.
By the end of 2023, the cumulative sales amount of FCS two-component injection molding machines has reached USD 615 million, and the total tonnage of clamping force has reached 2,094,000 tons. More specifically, more than 715 large multi-component injection molding machines and large horizontal rotary table two-component injection molding machines were delivered in total, which were with more than 700 tons of clamping force.
Starting from 2023, the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Zone plant gradually put into production of special machines with a clamping force of more than 500 tons, such as large two-platen multi-component injection molding machines, large multi-component injection molding machines, and large horizontal rotary table two-component injection molding machines. The plant will integrate resources with the existing two plants in Dongguan and Ningbo to manufacture larger plastic injection molding machines and improve smart manufacturing.
