Injection Molding Machine Winter Maintenance and Operation Preparation Guide

As temperatures drop, especially in northern areas where temperatures fall below -30°C, the operation and maintenance of injection molding machines become particularly important. In such low-temperature environments, it is necessary to pay special attention to the following points:

1. Maintenance of Injection Molding Machine

Cold and Moisture Proofing:Ensure that cold and moisture-proofing measures for the injection molding machine are in place to avoid damage caused by freezing to the mechanical equipment.
Oil Temperature Control:Due to the increase in oil viscosity at low temperatures, which affects the operation of the injection molding machine, it is recommended to use the oil temperature preheating function in cold northern areas, to ensure that the oil temperature is maintained between 45°C and 55°C.
Avoid Running the Machine Cold:Avoid starting the machine when the oil temperature is too low, as low oil temperature can lead to unstable injection dimensions. Turn off the oil temperature cooling water before starting the machine, and then turn it on after the oil temperature rises.

2. Preparations Before and After Machine Operation

Adjusting Process Temperature:The process temperature in winter should be 5-10°C higher than in spring and autumn.
Checking the Hydraulic System:Check the seals to avoid leaks caused by low-temperature deformation.
Electrical and Hydraulic Component Inspection:Ensure that components are working normally, without abnormal sounds or looseness.
Lubrication Issue Handling:If the lubrication pump oil is not sufficient, appropriately add hydraulic oil.
Cleaning the Cooling System:After shutting down, clean the circulating water in the cooling system to avoid freezing and cracking.
Keeping Clean Ensure that the injection molding machine and its surrounding environment are clean.

Key Points for Winter Maintenance of Coolers

Cleaning and Draining: Regularly clean the cooler to prevent frost and scale.
Antifreeze Measures: Use antifreeze or heating equipment to preheat the cooling water to avoid damage caused by freezing.
Checking Pipes and Valves: Ensure that the cooling water pipes and valves are free from leaks, rust, or damage.
Repairing Fans and Air Ducts: Ensure that the cooler's fans and air ducts are functioning normally for good heat dissipation.
Cleaning Filters: Regularly clean the filters in the cooling water system to maintain filtration function.
Checking Coolant Level: Regularly ensure that the coolant level in the cooling system is sufficient.

By implementing these measures, you can ensure the normal operation of the injection molding machine in the low-temperature environment of winter, extend the life of the equipment, and improve the reliability and stability of the equipment.
