Report on China Plas 2009 - The Injection Molding Machine |
The 2009 China International Plastics & Rubber Industry Exhibition in Guangzhou (short for ChinaPlas 2009) has been exhibited during May 18 through 21 in which all exhibitors had displayed their most classics.
According to the statistics of ChinaPlas 2009, this exhibition had attracted more than 1,850 exhibitors from different countries. The exhibition area is above 140,000 m2 and the number of visitor is 69,298 including 11,340 ones from overseas.
From the point of view on injection machine, one of the interesting situations is that all Japanese & Korean injection machine makers did not show up for this exhibition, which might be due to the global financial tsunami. Another one is that Chinese exhibitors had decorated their booth more luxury than ever in this exhibition. |

The machine exhibitors showed mainly focus on small and middle-size models. It can be concluded into several topics for this exhibition: container, IML container, Servo-Motor power saving, RHCM and etc. Based on inference, the financial tsunami decreased the consumption of 3C products, and the machine producers found that food container product will be the most stable industry nowadays. As a result of this, there was a coincidence that every exhibitor demonstrated machines with molds relative to containers in the show.
FCS, the largest injection machine producer from Taiwan, displayed their new technology including A-PACK In Mold Labeling Turnkey Solution, Two Components Injection Machine with Servo-Power Saving Technology, Hydraulic Injection Machine with Servo-Power Saving Technology, High-Speed Cap Production System, and H&C Molding System. The A-PACK Series can produce 1.2 million cups per month with IML technology. The Cap production System can produce 9 million caps monthly. The other two systems produced “Two components mobile phone keypad” and “Food container”. During the exhibition, FCS booth was always full of visitors and every one was impressed by the stable and efficient production systems. |

FCS also chose this show to unveil a new turnkey solution for glossy surface and eliminating-weld-line production which is called H&C molding system (Heating & Cooling Molding System). The whole solution includes FCS injection machine, mold technology, and heating & cooling controller system. This technology was granted and supported by SABIC and the controller system was developed by a famous Japanese company, SYSKO. It is a great achievement and undoubtedly, FCS is able to provide an authorized, safer and more precise solution than the others by cooperating with such well-established global companies.
To sum up, it seemed the financial tsunami did not hit Chinese injection machine industry as serious as what we’ve supposed. In addition, the industries tend to integrate with some companies which have better financial bases or sales performances. Furthermore, due to the global depression effect and the Chinese product quality improvement, foreign buyers showed more interests on made-in-China machines in this exhibition which signified that Chinese machine makers would have chances to grab more orders in the future. |
