According to the statistics, the 2006 Taipei Plas (short for 2004 Taipei Plas) attracted close to 14000 visitors from extra 140 countries and regions. The exhibition use 2028 booths and there are 376 companies join the show. The reason why the visitors are less than 2004 Taipei Plas is the local visitors much less than 2004. Actually the foreign visitors are much more than 2004. It��s 12.4% more than 2004. And it��s the forth time the numbers of foreign visitors growing up. The foreign visitors mainly come from Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippine. The detail analysis of the visitors is as followed:

In terms of the injection molding machine in the show, there were 31 companies displayed more than 90 molding machines including kinds of vertical injection machines, horizontal injection machines, LIM and etc. The clamping force distributed from 10 tons to 1200 tons.

According to the show, the high quality outlook has been a standard to the machines. There some trends shows the Taiwan machine manufacturers are looking for there own way and heading to be professional, customers�� need oriented and turnkey solution providers. Let��s review these trends:

1. Customers�� need oriented: displaying the solutions by different industry

There are 40% machines shows solutions related to electronic parts including Light Guide Panel for LCD monitor, connectors, optical lens for camera or DVD reader, parts for cell phone and etc. Basically it��s for the needs of electronic industry and trying to replace the machine providers from Japan or Europe. In addition, there were some exhibitors show the specific solutions for other customers like PET perform solution, BMC molding for auto-parts, PVC pipe molding and LIM.

Among these exhibitors, Fu Chun Shin (FCS) cooperated with the Japanese mold maker demonstrated the production of 2.4and 7 inches Light Guide Panel for cell phone and small LCD TV which is an attractive demonstration. Especially the thickness of the 2.4 inches Light guide Panel is only 0.4 mm which is the thinnest one of the Taiwan machine Producers.

2. Machine with special features:

Except the solutions for specific industries�� needs, some exhibitors demonstrate their R&D achievement in the show. These machines might not be so practical or with large market potential but it��s also very attractive, including:

2.1Machine with High Injection Speed

Some producers declare their high injection speed machines. These machines could be featured with injection speed from 1000 mm to 2000 mm/sec.

2.2Multi-component injection molding machine

There are almost 15 machines demonstrated multi-components injection molding. Comparing to the demonstrations in 2004, these kinds of machines increased substantially. The first one Taiwan two-components injection molding machine producer, FCS, showed the FB-140R producing 2 color buttons for cell phone. The stable production attracted many visitors.

2.3All electric machines

Although most of patents of all-electric machine were hold by Japanese companies, there are many exhibitors show their achievement in all electric machine. Compared with 2004, there only some big companies such as FCS show all electric machines. The phenomenon of displaying all electric machines by so many companies is worth to pay more attention.

3. Turnkey Solution:

During this exhibition, there only a few exhibitors show some thing different from the others. They mainly demonstrate �� Turnkey Solutions��. Simplifying saying, the turnkey solution could be only combing injection machine, peripheral accessories and robot. But a complete turnkey solution not just simplified the production procedure for customers but also increase the yield rate and outlook of the products. For example, there are 5 sets of ��In Mold Decoration Solution�� showed in the exhibition. The most impressive one is the set of �� 4 Cavities Cups Molding -In Mold Labeling�� and �� 4 Cavities Cell Phone Shell Molding-In Mold Roller��. These two combination were provided by FCS and its Japanese Partner, Star and ADY. The solutions finished the products decoration inside the mold. By the solutions, customers can simplify production procedure with higher yield rate and better products. They are the focus of the whole show also they catch many customers attentions.
