Report on China Plas & AP Plas 2005---The Injection Molding Machine |
According to the statistics, the 19th China International Plastics & Rubber Industry Exhibition in Guangzhou (short for China Plas 2005) attracted more than 1100 participants from extra 60 countries and regions. The exhibition area is above 7000 m2, covering 7 exhibition halls which broke all previous exhibitions area record. The number of participating this exhibition is more than 52,000. It is said that China Plas is the largest International Plastics Exhibition in Asia, even larger than the Japanese IPF. In addition, the 8th Asian-Pacific International Plastics Industry Exhibition (AP Plas) in Shanghai was held at nearly the same time with Guangzhou China Plas, so 21 IMM manufacturers joined both exhibitions and exhibited the same contents. The following report will aim at the Injection Molding Machine.
The Guangzhou China Plas 2005 has showed totally 94 injection molding machines from 40 manufacturers, while Shanghai AP Plas has showed 100 ones from 40 manufacturers. Though both exhibitions has comparative scale, the component of the participants has obvious difference, that is, the number of the Japanese manufacturers is massive reduced but Chinese and Western manufacturers are largely raised. From the perspective of the number of the machines, the machines from Chinas mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan are largely raised, especially the mainland, which shows the mainland injection molding machine manufacturers are interested in exploring the foreign market. For the AP Plas, a few western manufacturers join it and the machine from Chinas mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan make the big proportion of 84%. |

FCS Two-component Injection Molding Machine Attracts Customers

In terms of the content of the exhibition, China Plas and AP Plas both enjoy the highest standard in all Chinas plastics exhibitions. This exhibition shows the machines clamping force is 10 ton to 900 ton, tend to be small and middle-size kinds. No manufacturers exhibit the machine has 1000 ton or more clamping force. This exhibition can conclude into several parts: Thin-wall High-Speed Injection Molding Machine, All Electric Injection Molding Machine, Hybrid Injection Molding Machine, Two (Three) Component Injection Molding Machine and PET Preform Injection Molding Machine, etc. The kinds of products incline to be diversified, from hardware and household goods to precision electronic accessories, food packing industry, automobile industry etc., especially the mobile phone accessories are the mainstream, including the mobile phone shell, Light-Guide Plate, battery case, SD card and connector etc. which are all showed by many manufacturers.
The highlight of this exhibition is Interval Injection Molding Machine, and 16 manufacturers exhibit Two-component (2K) Injection Molding Machine, which the number is two-time more than last exhibition. It indicates the two-component injection molding machine is developing prosperously in China. For example, NISSEI has exhibit All Electric 2K Injection Molding Machine, Baoyuan has exhibit 850-ton 2K Injection Molding Machine and Fu Chun Shin (FCS) has showed three 2K Injection Molding Machine, including one Sandwich-Interval Injection Molding Machine. FCS exhibits the Two-component Injection Molding Machine for making pens boosts good reputation in Wenzhou and Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Through three years hard working, FCS has obtained good achievements. In addition, FCSs 450-ton and 1000-ton Two-component Injection Molding Machines have been adopted by some automobile manufacturers in Jiangsu Province and some foreign investors in China, and recently the machines will be exported to Germany. This shows FCSs two-component injection molding machine has acknowledged by clients and markets.
Because of the good quality and sales achievement, FCSs 2K machines have been copied by some Chinas injection molding machine manufacturers, which indicates some Chinese injection machine manufacturers do not realize the significance of intellectual property protection and the devotion of R&D by selves. This will affect Chinese injection machine manufacturers in long term, so it is hoped that some leading entrepreneurs will get rid of plagiarizing others and make research by own efforts. |

Less All Electric Injection Molding Machines have been exhibited in this China Plas because of less Japanese manufacturers participated, however, more have been showed in AP Plas than last time, for more Japanese manufacturers joined in this AP Plas. It is obvious to see that All Electric Injection Molding Machines are almost guided by Japanese manufacturers. According to the statistics, more than 90% of injection molding machines made in Japan are All Electric Injection Molding Machines, especially Fanuc Company, it is said that Fanuc has sold extra 20,000 All Electric Injection Molding Machines, so it is the most successful company to commercialize the All Electric Injection Molding Machine in the world. The key factor to success is Japanese manufacturers master the most patent of All Electric Injection Molding Machines technique paten and the key elements, so the manufacturers from Chinas mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan are very difficult to develop this kind of machines. Only few manufacturers are able to manufacture and sell the machines, but are incapable to be the mainstream machines. In order to breakthrough this plight, many manufacturers strike out another direction to develop Hybrid Injection Molding Machine. In this year, some manufacturers have exhibited the Hybrid Injection Molding Machine in both China Plas and AP Plas, such as AsianPlastic, Sound, HaiXing, YanHing, etc. According to the data, the proportion of Hybrid Injection Molding Machines exhibited is rising annually. FCS has observed this trend, and in 2001 FCS announced AE series of High-speed Close-loop Hybrid Injection Molding Machines, with the mould clamping force of 30ton to 500ton, and now are applied in high precision industry of mobile phones, Light-Guide Plate, SD memory flash card, chip card, narrow pitch connector and Medical Appliances, etc. It is believed that the Hybrid Injection Molding Machine will have its superiority and develop space in high-speed and high-circulation moulding area. |
