Fu Chun Shin, the famous Taiwan injection molding machine manufacturer, signed a strategic alliance contract with a well-known Italy injection molding machine producer, Italtech. It is a great milestone for Taiwan machine manufacturers.
Fu Chun Shin is a professional injection machine manufacturer in Taiwan. The company is different from the other traditional machine makers, because the shareholders decided to hire professional mangers to run the business in stead of holding the right by themselves. The managers proposed the vision for Fu Chun Shin in 2001, Yearly sales more than USD$300 Million Before 2010. Because of the hard working these years, the sales amount kept on growing. Through estimation, the sales amount will hit the target, USD$70 million, at the end of 2004 due to the increasing demand of injection machine and excellent managing ability.
In fact, signing the alliance contract with Italtech is a critical action according to the Moving West strategy of Fu Chun Shin. Fu Chun Shin believes the competition of Taiwan plastic machine manufacturers in Asia has become too intense. But those competitions mainly focused on price comparison. In order to build the high quality image of Fu Chun Shin and to be ready to sell products to Europe, North America, and Japan, Fu Chun Shin not only set up the marketing network but also looking for proper partners to cooperate. The company to cooperate this time is the right one for Fu Chun Shin both in technology side and market place. The contract will bring both companies achieving better effects.
Italtech was founded in 1984 and was immediately recognized for quality and innovation. For the last twenty years, Italtech has been one of the major Italian manufacturers in the field of injection moulding machines. In 1987, Italtech was took over by the major Italian industrial group, FIAT. And it became the major supplier of many famous companies like Renault, Plastic Omnium and Faurecia. The clamping force of Italtechs products spread from 90 tons to 9000 tons. In addition, Italtech also produced two-platen injection machines. According to the CEO of Italtech, Mr. Grasselli, Italtech is a producer leader for large tonnage machines in such markets as France, Spain, Poland and Italy. Since the cost of producing machines keeps growing, Italtech decided to cooperate with Asian manufacturer. After serious evaluation, they chose Fun Chun Shin As their partner.
According to the CEO of Fu Chun Shin, Mr. Tsai, the contract of Fu Chun Shin and Italtech will last 8 years. Because of this alliance, Fu Chun Shin will be able to sell machines through the channel of Italtech and Italtech will use the producing ability of Fu Chun Shin to manufacture machines for them. Both can get the benefit from the cooperation. Also Fu Chun Shin will get new injection machine technology from Italtech.
Besides, Italtech will cooperate with the engineers of Fu Chun Shin to improve the products of Fu Chun Shin, HT series to fit the users habit and to get CE mark. For this reason, Fu Chun Shin will send important managers and engineers to Italy to work with the engineers of Italtech at the fourth season of 2004. After the improvement, Italtech will authorize Fu Chun Shin to produce HT series for them. According to the contract, Italtech have to sell at least 150 machines in one year in the future. Through the estimation, after cooperate with Italtech, the sales of Fu Chun Shin will increase dramatically. |
