To cater to the increasing requirements of the bottle closure market, Fu Chun Shin Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd. (FCS) had been continuously researching and improving on the associated technical aspects, resulting in the ultra-high speed FCS-CAP Series.
In this series, the newly launched FCS-CAP16/28 closure production system uses a 16-cavity mold for mineral water bottle caps. The systems cycle time has been shortened substantially to 4.5 to 4.8 seconds, breaking the record of 6.1 seconds for this industry. The monthly output for this efficient system is an amazing 9 million caps.
The FCS-CAP16/28 system comprise of 3 major sub-systems: the AD-150 tripe-loop fast cycle injection molding machine, a 16-cavity mold, and the patented FS-CB250 bottle cap-cutting machine. The later 2 sub-systems are provided by the industry-renowned Fu Hsian Industrial Co., Ltd., which specializes in bottle cap molding technology. The launch of this new production system marks another successful collaborative effort in the Taiwan plastics industry.
FCS successfully developed the AD-150 tripe-loop fast cycle injection molding machine using 3-axis concurrent processing technology. This is the key to the high performance of this production system. By using a triple-loop design, material charging is done during mold opening/closing and ejection. This basically allows for the process of material charging, mold open-close and ejection to be carried out simultaneously, thereby substantially reducing the cycle time.
In addition, the machine is more stable and production is more precise. This technical breakthrough increases margins for customers, as with the same production time, the FCS-CAP16/28 closure production system is able to raise output by over 21%. Coupled with the highly automated nature of the system, the return-on-investment is all the more remarkable.
The 28mm/30mm caps produced by this production system have anti-tamper rings. These rings are not molded as part of the cap molding, but cut out using the cutting sub-system. This type of bottle cap is more practical, as once opened, the anti-tamper ring will not free-spin or drop off, thereby creating an environmental problem.
Furthermore, the mold is more rigid, making it suitable for high-speed production. The caps produced by this system are suitable for narrow-neck bottles (mineral water, juices, carbonated drinks) with capacity of 350cc, 600cc, 1250cc, 1500cc and 2000cc. These bottles are currently in demand by the market.
To cater to customer needs, FCS has modularized this cap production system, allowing customers to invest in the most efficient and cost efficient solution. Since its release, this automated production system has been well received, with numerous orders placed.
